Cromer Carnival


Children’s Week One

Join in the fun at children's week with Libby and Tony.
For age groups:
• 5 years and under
• 6 years to 9 years
• 10 years to 13 years
Please Note:
• No responsibility can be accepted for children left unattended at any of these events
• Cancellation of events due to bad weather cannot be helped
• If possible, cancelled events will be fitted in at an alternative time

Carnival Day Parade
21 Aug, 2013, 5:00pm

Carnival Parade Assembles - Carnival Field, Runton Road
18:15 to 18:45
Judging of the Floats and Fancy Dress
• All floats are to make sure they have read the rules and signed the entry form at the back of the Carnival Programme or download a copy from the 'Entry Forms' page of this website
• To ensure that the judges see you, competitors must be in position by 18:10
• In addition, floats will be judged en route during the procession to find the most entertaining float

Cromer Grand Carnival Parade
Through the Town via Runton Road, Prince of Wales Road, Hamilton Road, Church Street, Mount Street, Louden Road, West Street, Beach Road and returning to the Runton Road car park.
Here are some of the bands taking part in the Carnival parade:

Please note that on Carnival Day, cars parked on the Runton Road Car Park after 18:30 will not be able to leave the car park until after the Carnival Parade has finished, at approximately 22:00. All cars leaving the field will be directed right towards Sheringham.
Firework Display
22 Aug, 2013, 9:15pm

Grand Fireworks Display and of course all the fun of the fair up at the Carnival Field.
No entrance charge for fireworks, but please make sure you find one of the donation buckets in the course of the evening!
Make sure you arrive in good time - there's always a last minute rush on car parking, which is very tricky on the evening.
Sheringham Beer Festival
19 - 21 July 2013
First and foremost, do not panic! - Rain does not stop play at the North Norfolk Railway!
Our 12th Annual Beer Festival will be held from Friday 19 to Sunday 21 July 2013. Beer, food, drink and entertainment are all available over the three days at Sheringham station.
Our Beer Festival is now firmly established in the beer (and rail) enthusiasts' calendar. This year's festival promises to be even bigger and better than ever, we look forward to seeing you there!
Please note that if you are lucky enough to look under 25, we will require identification in order to serve you, please don't be offended if a member of our staff asks, and don't forget to bring some with you, we would hate for you to go home disappointed!

1940’s Weekend

21 - 22 September 2013
Come and enjoy the 1940s weekend on the North Norfolk Railway, our most popular event for adults by far!
Over the years this event has attracted more and more visitors and more and more exhibitors. It is widely felt to be one of the best events of its type in the country. People who attended last year were booking accommodation before they left as they enjoyed it so much!
Come in uniform or 1940s civilian dress to add to the atmosphere. Don't forget your gas mask and ration books!


Lobster Potties Weekend


Sat 6th July to Sun 7th July 2013
Potty Morris Dance Festival
A colourful week-end of dancing music and merriment. Enjoyment for all the family.

Saturday starts with a parade through the town followed by dancing at various spots around the town till 4pm then mass dancing on Lifeboat Plain finishing at 5.30pm ish.

On Lifeboat Plain 1-2pm Sheringham Shantymen will be performing.

Sunday dancing from 11am till 2pm.

Holt Festival


Sat 20th July to Sat 27th July 2013
A whirligig of artistic hot stuff from entertainment’s rising stars and brightest supernovas.
Programme details for 2013 will be announced early June and promise another exciting and eclectic mix of international music, drama, comedy, visual art, street theatre, workshops and cinema.

During festival week Holt will come alive with an amazing range of events throughout the day and evening including plenty of free entertainment for all the family.

Mundesley Festival


Mon 5th August to Sat 10th August 2013
This year Mundesley Festival celebrates its 30th year!
Six nights of excellent entertainment in Mundesley's Coronation Hall. This year's line up includes Isla St Claire, Jonathan Wyatt Big Band, Richard Digance, The Temperance Seven, ventriloquist Steve Hewlett and Tony Goodacre and his band.
