Plant Fair in the Walled Gardens

29th & 30th September 2012 - 10am - 4pm

At Holkham hall - Adults - £3.00 & Children £1.50
Plant nurseries from across East Anglia will come together for this two-day plant fair hosted in the Walled Gardens at Holkham. September is a great time to stock up on plants for autumn planting. Find that special plant for a special spot and get advice and tips for selecting the right plant. Other gardening essentials such as pots, compost and labels will also be available.

Deer Discovery Walk at Holkham Hall

6th October 2012 at 10am-11.30am

£2.50 for an adult, Children go free

Join Holkham's personal Deer Keeper, Glyn Ingram, on a guided walk to learn interesting facts about the herd of deers, discover how the behaviour of deer changes with the seasons and how the management of the parkland, both past and present, has made it the wonderful sanctuary for wildlife that it is today.

The walks will be informal and suitable for all ages and we are happy to answer any questions you may have.. We suggest you wear suitable footwear and come prepared for all weathers.
Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome.

Family Learning Festival: Make a Boat

21st October 2012 10am - 12pm (drop in)
Families will work together to create a boat using scrap materials. Each boat will be tested to see how well it floats. The makers of the winning boat will win a prize. This event is part of the Family Learning Festival 2012.


£3 per child. Free for one accompanying adult per child.
