Sheringham Carnival 2014

 2nd August – 10th August – Parade day Wednesday 6th August 

 
 Friday 8th August
The Wizard Express
Leaves Sheringham at 6.10pm. Arrive at station 10-15 minutes early.
Get into your wizard or fairy costume, grab your magic wand and favourite magical cuddly toy, then jump aboard The Wizard Express Steam Train to cast your enchanting spells. On your journey look out for the wizardly and fairylike clues and creatures. When you reach the kingdom of wizards, fairies, hobgoblins and elves get ready for a time of magical fun, with spellbinding stories and games. Enjoy a wizardly biscuit and drink to keep you going until your return journey.
There will be a wondrous prize for the best dressed wizard and fairy, the best home made magical wand and for the winner of the magical quiz.
Tickets available from Starlings or the Carnival Caravan. £5 per child and £5 per adult. (Maximum capacity is 200 so do get your tickets early)
Sunday 10th August
 Torchlight Procession & Grand Firework Finale
The procession will be led by Olympic Torch Bearers and The Peterborough Highland Pipe Band. Entertainment provided by world famous Tri-Fier perform Fire Poi, Fire Hoops and Fire Breathing.
 
Sunday 10th August
Car Treasure Trail
Keep your eyes peeled as you wind your way through the beautiful North Norfolk countryside. Whilst adults solve riddles and rhymes in their search for each location the children will have their own clues to find and collect too. The journey should take about two hours. £5 per car.
 Sunday 31st August
Raft Race
 
Originally founded by David Farrow, King of the Carnival; open to all over 17 and free to enter. You must wear a lifejacket and you must obtain an entry form and a copy of the rules from the event organiser, Graham Deans, at the Lobster Pub.
